It is a platform designed to expand his brand and diversify his business portfolio
After decades as one of Puerto Rico’s most influential entertainers, Raymond Arrieta is opening a new chapter in his career with the launch of El Late Night con Raymond Arrieta, an innovative live entertainment concept that strengthens his market presence and introduces a premium experiential product to the local industry.
The show will debut November 6 and 7 at the iconic Tropicoro room at the Fairmont El San Juan Hotel, reinforcing the project’s upscale positioning.
Designed as a true live “late night” format, the show integrates every facet of Arrieta’s artistic trajectory, including comedy, music, improvisation, hosting, and character work, into a single, dynamic offering. Each performance is conceived as a one‑of‑a‑kind experience, built around audience interaction, spontaneity and an intimate setting that elevates the value proposition for attendees.
“I wanted to create something different, an experience that feels like a full night out, not just a show. We’re going to laugh, sing, improvise and share. There will be planned moments, but also plenty of space for things to unfold naturally. The audience becomes part of what happens, and that’s the magic of this concept: no two nights will ever be the same,” Arrieta said.
The production model includes a live band, surprise guest artists and the participation of emerging performers, turning each night into a platform for new talent and a space for creative networking. The concept also incorporates a personalized experiential component: guests celebrating birthdays, promotions, anniversaries or other milestones may reserve special celebration tables, where Arrieta will interact with them directly and integrate their moment into the evening’s program.
For producer and manager Tony Mojena, El Late Night represents a strategic evolution. “After so many years of trajectory, we felt it was time to develop a concept that showcased the full breadth of Raymond’s talent. Audiences know the comedian and the host, but here they will also see the singer, the improviser and the communicator who connects with people in a way few artists can. We wanted an elegant, intimate and unpredictable experience that presents Raymond in all his brilliance,” Mojena noted.
The project also carries personal significance for Arrieta, marking a symbolic return to his roots. Before becoming one of Puerto Rico’s most beloved television personalities, he performed weekly at El Punto del Coquí in Old San Juan, where he honed his craft for two years. It was there that Telemundo employees first discovered him, leading to the audition that launched his television career. Revisiting an intimate format now, with a high‑end production, adds emotional resonance and a sense of legacy to the initiative.
“Returning to a more intimate setting means a lot to me. It brings me back to my beginnings, when every night was different and the connection with the audience was everything. That spirit is what we want to bring to El Late Night, but with a production designed to surprise from start to finish,” Arrieta said.
There is a script to begin the night—but no one knows exactly how it will end.
