Marking 20 years in Puerto Rico, the company invested $650,000 in a new facility, restoring operations nearly eight years after its previous location was destroyed by Hurricane Maria.
HATILLO, Puerto Rico — Enterprise has reopened operations in Hatillo with a $650,000 investment, restoring its presence in the municipality nearly eight years after its previous location was destroyed by Hurricane Maria.
The opening coincides with the company’s 20th anniversary of operations in Puerto Rico and brings Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Enterprise Truck Rental services to the new facility on PR-2 in Barrio Carrizales.
The roughly 2,000-square-meter facility can accommodate up to 100 vehicles and is intended to serve residents, insurance replacement customers, auto dealerships and businesses in the region.
“Restoring our operations in Hatillo represents an important achievement for our team and our customers,” said Luis Limardo, vice president and general manager of Enterprise in Puerto Rico.
Limardo said the company had long identified a need for accessible transportation services in the area and that the investment would allow Enterprise to once again serve the community and businesses throughout Puerto Rico.
20 Years of Growth in Puerto Rico
Enterprise has grown to 23 locations and nearly 300 employees across Puerto Rico over the past two decades.
Its network serves businesses across several industries, including construction, solar energy, health care, energy and delivery services.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Enterprise Truck Rental operate as part of Enterprise Mobility’s portfolio. Enterprise Truck Rental, initially launched as a pilot service in 1999, now operates nearly 600 locations across the United States and Canada.
