As families and businesses in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the mainland United States seek to stay connected with loved ones and colleagues in Colombia during an emergency, Liberty is stepping in to make communication easier. Beginning tonight at 10 p.m. and continuing through August 18 at 10:00 p.m., the company will offer free international long distance mobile calls to Colombia for all Liberty residential and business mobile customers.
The initiative reflects Liberty’s effort to respond quickly when international events affect the communities it serves. For customers with family, friends, or coworkers in Colombia, the waiver provides a simple way to check on their well-being, coordinate support, and maintain contact when communication matters most.
“Just as we did in June during the emergency in Venezuela, today we want to support the Colombian community in Puerto Rico in the same way, by helping them stay in touch with their loved ones or coworkers in Colombia during this very difficult time,” said Giovanna Ramírez de Arellano, senior director of communications and corporate social responsibility at Liberty Puerto Rico.
