San Juan- Ambar Infiniti revealed this week Infiniti’s new QX65, a sporty mid-size SUV, that exudes both luxury and technology.

The all new Infiniti QX65’s profile highlights a sloping fastback like roof inspired by the brand’s iconic FX model, and a driver centric-cabin geared for a responsive and rewarding experience.

“When we talk about the FX, which I believe is one of the most important moments the brand has ever experienced, we are bringing it back in a much more renewed and refined version. We are taking Infinity to the next level… building upon what Infinity has always been. Not losing its DNA, but transforming it, innovating it, and taking it where we need it to go,” said Francisco Soto, Director General of Infiniti Mexico, who travel to Puerto Rico for the unveiling.

With the launching of the QX65, which, according to Gastón Rivera, Commercial Director of Ambar Infiniti, exclusive distributor of Infiniti in Puerto Rico, builds upon what we began with the QX80, “the brand is now taking solid steps toward innovation.”

According to the auto maker, “each variant of the all-new 2027 INFINITI QX65 has a distinct visual personality, with the QX65 SPORT makmaking an aggressive impression with a sportier front grille design, unique 20-inch wheels, a graphite headliner and gloss black carbonite interior trim pieces.”

The QX65 comes in three different trims: Luxe, Sport and Autograph. Every trim level shares a standardized, high-tech powertrain with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Variable Compression Turbo engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission paired exclusively with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD).

“We’re thrilled because we have three different offerings within the same model. We’re going to focus on three different segments, and that’s why we’re so confident,” said Rivera.

Both Rivera and Soto admitted that the tariffs increments the United States has levied on foreign products has impacted with particular severity the automotive market, but Infiniti has made significant efforts to counterbalance those effects. According to Soto, many of the manufacturing operations in Mexico have been moved to the U.S. to avoid international tariffs.

Rivera on his part mentioned that to ease the cost on the consumer, Ambar Infiniti is assuming the costs of all service maintenance of the vehicles while they are on warranty.

“Innovation is important, of course. But I believe that the most important aspect of luxury is simplicity,” said Soto.

“Why simplicity? Because we don’t want to waste our customers’ time. We want to be more efficient with them. The simplicity of tailoring a service to their needs. The simplicity of serving them when they need us. Today’s Puerto Rican consumer is very demanding when it comes to time and they don’t want to waste it,” Rivera added.
