INTERNATIONAL — Tom Holland returns to the big screen this week in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” leading a lineup of new entertainment releases that also includes a crime thriller series on Disney+, a psychological horror film on Prime Video and a London museum exhibition exploring the lives of children during wartime.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
The latest installment in the Spider-Man franchise reunites Tom Holland and Zendaya four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which grossed $1.91 billion worldwide in 2021 and became the eighth highest-grossing film in history.
The new film follows an older Peter Parker, now living alone and protecting New York City while facing a new wave of crime. The cast also includes Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo.
Disney+ Premieres ‘Furious’
Disney+ debuts the first three episodes of “Furious” on July 27. The eight-episode thriller stars Emmy Rossum as FBI agent Alice Black, who becomes entangled in the hunt for a meticulous serial killer played by Lola Petticrew.
Created by Elizabeth Meriwether, the series also features Scoot McNairy and Quincy Tyler Bernstine.
Horror Arrives With ‘The Devil’s Mouth’
Prime Video premieres “The Devil’s Mouth” on July 29, a survival thriller set inside Thailand’s coastal cave system.
The story follows five friends whose adventure turns into a nightmare after a powerful storm floods the caves, trapping them alongside a deadly creature lurking beneath the water.
London Exhibition Focuses on Children in Wartime
Opening July 31 at London’s Imperial War Museum, the interactive exhibition “Childhood in Wartime” examines how children experienced conflict through recreated homes and classrooms, personal letters and historical accounts from World War I and other periods.
The exhibition will remain on display through Feb. 28, 2027, offering visitors a family-friendly look at resilience during times of war.
