The push for technological innovation inside Puerto Rico’s supermarkets is reshaping how brands communicate with consumers — a shift that earned local company OnShelf Media the title of MIDA Affiliated Company of the Year 2026 during the MIDA Conference & Food Show.

MIDA, the Marketing, Industry and Food Distribution Chamber, highlighted the company’s trajectory and its role in strengthening the island’s food and consumer‑goods sector through tools that improve communication between brands, retailers, and shoppers. According to the document, the award recognizes OnShelf Media’s “contribution to the strengthening of the industry of foods and consumption in Puerto Rico” and its commitment to developing solutions that help brands connect more effectively at the point of sale.

Alexander Goachet, partner at OnShelf Media, said the honor reflects years of collaboration with clients and commercial partners. “This award belongs to our entire team, our clients and the commercial partners who have trusted our vision during these years,” he stated.

The recognition comes during a period of expansion for the company, marked by the launch of OnShelf Digital, a new in‑store digital media network featuring strategically placed screens that deliver dynamic content and segmented advertising. The platform currently operates 13 screens across 10 supermarkets, with plans to add 15 more locations in 2026.

Goachet noted that the digital network represents “the next step in our mission to transform communication at the point of sale,” enabling brands to reach consumers in real time as they make purchasing decisions.

MIDA officials praised OnShelf Media’s ability to identify new opportunities for innovation within Puerto Rico’s commerce and consumer ecosystem, underscoring the company’s growing influence in the modernization of supermarket marketing.
