Porsche Center Puerto Rico is putting women in the driver’s seat.
Porsche Center Puerto Rico held a new edition of “Mujeres al Volante,” an initiative designed to help women better understand the capabilities of their Porsche vehicles while developing greater confidence and safety behind the wheel.
Customers and Porsche enthusiasts participated in a combination of educational sessions and on-track exercises alongside experts from Porsche Center Puerto Rico and instructors from the Porsche Club of America, Puerto Rico.
The experience began with an orientation at La Dolce Vita in Condado, where participants received information on the program, vehicle preparation and what to expect once they arrived at the track.
Doriliz R. Curet, brand manager of Porsche Center Puerto Rico, presented the structure of the experience and preparation guidelines, while Ana María Troche, the center’s service director, discussed vehicle inspections and other steps drivers should take before participating in track activities.
“For us, ‘Mujeres al Volante’ represents much more than a driving experience,” said Orlando Pérez, general manager of Porsche Center Puerto Rico and a Porsche-certified instructor. “We want every participant to leave the track with greater knowledge, confidence and safety when driving their vehicle.”
From the Track to Everyday Driving
On the track, participants completed exercises focused on vehicle control, safety, handling and understanding their Porsche’s capabilities.
Instructors from Porsche Club of America’s Puerto Rico chapter accompanied participants through the exercises, providing guidance in an environment focused on learning and practice.
While performance and the driving experience were central to the event, Porsche Center Puerto Rico said the goal was also to provide skills participants could apply in everyday driving.
“We want this to be a comprehensive experience,” Curet said. “Participants can enjoy the performance and excitement of driving a Porsche, but also acquire tools that allow them to feel in control and drive with greater confidence in their daily lives.”
The event concluded with a gathering among participants, instructors and Porsche Center Puerto Rico staff.
Through “Mujeres al Volante,” the company is seeking to deepen its relationship with customers through experiences that combine brand engagement, education, safety and vehicle performance.
