Founded by Alejandro Longo, the new showroom introduces an interactive concept featuring premium Italian ceramics from Sant’Agostino.
Tile Boutique has officially opened its doors on De Diego Avenue in Puerto Nuevo, introducing a specialized showroom concept aimed at Puerto Rico’s architecture, interior design and construction markets.
Founded by entrepreneur Alejandro Longo, the new business focuses on high-end ceramic surfaces from Italian manufacturer Sant’Agostino, offering a curated selection of materials for residential and commercial projects.
The opening also marked the first official visit to Puerto Rico by members of Sant’Agostino’s management team, highlighting the manufacturer’s relationship with the local business.
“We wanted to create a place where design was at the center of the experience,” Longo said. “Tile Boutique was born from our relationship with Sant’Agostino and the inspiration we found in its Milan showroom.”
A New Approach to the Showroom Experience
Unlike traditional tile showrooms, Tile Boutique operates under a Lab Showroom concept designed to encourage collaboration, experimentation and personalized material selection.
The space incorporates smaller samples equipped with QR codes, allowing visitors to visualize how different tiles appear in completed environments.
An outdoor area, known as El Patio de Tile Boutique, displays larger-format collections to help customers evaluate textures, dimensions and potential applications.
The showroom features Sant’Agostino collections including Sable, Logico, Invictus, Gravel and Baystone, which reinterpret materials such as stone, cement and travertine through contemporary Italian design.
The company aims to serve architects, interior designers, developers, construction professionals and consumers seeking distinctive materials for their projects.
Building on an Established Business
Tile Boutique represents a new venture for Longo, who also owns Stone & Tile, a company operating in Puerto Rico since 1985.
While Stone & Tile offers a broad portfolio of materials and solutions for projects of different sizes, Tile Boutique focuses on a more specialized selection centered on Sant’Agostino.
The distinction allows the businesses to serve different segments of Puerto Rico’s construction and design markets.
Daniele Anderson De Risio, sales manager at Ceramica Sant’Agostino, attended the inauguration and welcomed the opportunity to strengthen the company’s presence in Puerto Rico.
“This project represents an important milestone for us and an extraordinary opportunity to share our passion, design and Made in Italy quality,” De Risio said.
The grand opening brought together industry professionals, customers and design enthusiasts, with a special menu prepared by Puerto Rican chef Mario Pagán.
Longo said the company’s broader vision is to create a space where customers can explore ideas and develop projects through a more collaborative approach to design.
